CANCER FREE

Sorry it's been awhile, social work requires a lot of papers to be written!  BUT I AM OFFICIALLY 2 AND A HALF-ISH YEARS CANCER FREE!  Friday was my MRI, Dr and the final immunization.  Mom threw me out of bed at 6:30 for my MRI and as soon as it was over I fell asleep in the room!
School is going well, I'm doing so well!  Also as for the boyfriend and I it's been 2 months and he hasn't gotten rid of me, so clearly i'm doing something right!

School Life

HAPPY OCTOBER!!!!
Today to celebrate I was at Field Work, visiting rooming houses.
Yesterday I spent time in the library finishing two papers, and other homework for classes on Thursday.  I feel like as time goes on, I either get busier with school, and sorority stuff, or I'm just finding things for me to do.

School Life

School Life is taking over any fun possible!
However, Field work is my favorite!!! I love working with the paid social workers and meeting the clients.  Yesterday I even managed to type all the case notes all by myself and got some compliments from my Supervisor.
Other than school taking over, I love being back with sisters.  One thing I haven't been loving is all my HOMEWORK!  But on the bright side I did get a 100 on my first paper (the paper was on myself) but it still counts!!!

Field Work

Well it's back to reality/back to school!
Today I had to wake up at 6 to go back to my internship at Bergen County APS.
There were 2 other interns from school, so I felt more like an intern now then I did when I was interning over the summer!  They are currently moving offices so work is interesting!
But I feel like I am one step closer to achieving my dream!

SENIOR YEAR ROUND 1!

So Monday before Lobster fest; Mom, my boyfriend James and myself moved me back to Ramapo!  We were at school by 10 and all moved in by noon!  By that time (no surprise) I was hungry and ready for some Lobster and lots of other food1  I basically ate until I had a full stomach, which took awhile.  Then we went back to James' house to swim.
Tuesday I came back to school, picked up my textbooks, and made my room feel more like a home.  That night my suite mates and I went out and took on night one of Senior year (round 1)!  Found Cioci Sue's nephew Joey and had fun until the cops came and told all of us to go back to our rooms!
Today, classes started but I'm off Tuesdays, Wednesdays (i'll have field work), and I have no classes on Fridays!!!

So tomorrow I have class from 9:45-2 then 6-9!

SUMMER LOVIN'

I can't believe Camp is over, and I feel like so much has happened since week 3.  I grew so attached to the kids that I cried when camp ended.  9 weeks of camp.  Aside from camp ending, my friend James came home from the air force.  Then he FINALLY asked me out!!!! I never would have thought I would be so happy with a kid who barely talked to me in high school.  It's also the time of year that I have to pack up and I go back to school on Monday or Tuesday!

3 weeks are done!

It still shocks me that 3 weeks of camp are already OVER!!  The kids are adorable and behaving but they hate missing out on the fun because they go home before hobby time.   So on Friday I surprised them with water balloons.  When the parents came to pick them up they were giggling going MOM WE'RE SOAKED!!! But as for me..... I think I did something to my knee because it really hurts.  I still went to the gym today though and it felt good!  Gearing up for the next week!

Brant Lake

Well Brant Lake weekend flew by as usual :(.  Leaving Sunday was much harder than I anticipated, especially because Teddy tried waterskiing.  I also cannot believe that it is already the second session of camp.  Instead of 12 campers I now have 20 so it's a little rough, especially with it being so hot/humid.  Also because I'm a little jealous that Mom and Greg are still at the lake!  I am still monitoring the one camper I have to be within arms length of and that makes me very stressed, I feel like after work the 2 things I need are a shower and a drink!

WEEK 1 DONE!!!

Week one of camp is over!  The girls are so good and I can't wait for the rest of the summer.  Now it is the weekend and I'm happy to just relax!  This week is also only a 4 day week because of the 4th of July!!  Last night we also stopped by the Carnival in town because Montville always does the 4th of July early!  Oh and shots are DONE!  I might need 2 more but we have to ask my doctors at Robert Wood Johnson.

FIRST DAY OF CAMP

DAY 1 OF CAMP CAME AND WENT!!!! I woke up at 5 am, a little scared studied my camp manual, had a great breakfast and off to work I went.

First once the kids got dropped off, they made their name tags and we played getting to know you games.  Then we did a little cooking, games, legos and before you know it it was lunch time.  The kids seemed to like their lunches and I enjoyed mine (Thanks Mom)!  The last game I played with the kids was Duck, Duck Goose and They had so much fun because each time someone got picked I would sing a Disney song or a song from Frozen!   Before we knew it, it was time for the kids to go home.  Being home I am like what do I do now, it's weird not having 11 kids follow me around.

Tomorrow is a new day at camp, and tomorrow is also SWIMMING! There are also new activities because it is a new day!  I am looking forward to a great summer with the kids!

What was also fun was seeing kids I had from last summer, at first they didn't recognize me because my hair is now a lot longer than it was last summer!  It was great to see them!

LAST WEEK BEFORE WORK!

This is my last week before work starts.  I have been busy crafting, making cute things for my campers, cousins, and myself!  Now that it's hot out I just wish we had a pool in the backyard that I can use anytime.  I'm also busy reading and counting down the days until Brant Lake!  My cousins are my world and I can't wait to be out with them on the water, waterskiing and tubing!  Tomorrow's supposed to be a hot day too so lets hope I can find friends to be with and do something fun, also to distract myself from the fact that my MRI is on Friday! But Friday night my cousin Jacob may be visiting and I can't wait to celebrate his graduation with him (even if its a few weeks later)!

Last year skiing

Summer

Sorry I've been away.  I have been sick with a sinus infection so I have been mostly sleeping.  I also started fieldwork at Bergen County Social Services.  But with all the sleeping and volunteering it still doesn't feel like summer to me.  Yesterday Mom, Dad and I went to a program at the hospital and they showed the movie about the caregivers center that we helped with.  I'm in it for 2 minutes and I'm acting silly 90% of the time I'm on air lol. Then last night I went over to Adrian's new place in Glen Ridge, and I was reminded why we're such good friends.  It was fun to just sit on his couch, eat pasta, watch HIMYM and joke around with each other.  Also talking about the past and all the two of us have been through made us both realize how strong our friendship is and I wouldn't change it for the world.  Today I went to the pool for a little while and sitting in the sun felt good.  Today was also Jacob's Graduation from Dartmouth, it's weird because every other big graduating year we've also been through it together but CONGRATULATIONS CUZ YOU DID IT!!!

Tomorrow is my first training day for the upcoming camp season at the YMCA.  My 5 year old girls better be ready for some fun because I know I am!  I am also looking forward to the Lake with my cousins because we have a lot to celebrate this year!

Memorial Day/West Point

Thank you to all the men and women who served or are serving our country!  Yesterday was Lobster Fest at the club, and it was fun eating all I wanted and more, with family and friends.  Then today Dad and I woke up early and went to see West Point's Graduation Parade!  Seeing an old friend from elementary to high school run the whole thing was very cool!  CONGRATS LINDSEY!

IDK ABOUT YOU BUT NOW I'M 22

Yesterday was my birthday, but birthday month still continues!  Yesterday I woke up, Mom and I went to the mall to get me new Toms because according to her my old ones that are like 2 years old really smell.  Then we had lunch at California Pizza Kitchen.  For Dinner we went to the club, and it was a nice surprise seeing the Perconti's.  Garrett, Greg and I all took shots!  I am so lucky to have the family and friends I have.

Birthday Week!!

BIRTHDAY WEEK IS THE BEST WEEK!!!! Friday is the day I turn 22!!! So far this "Summer" I've been relaxing and doing a whole lot of nothing!  Yesterday was the first day since I've been home that I didn't take a nap.  Even played basketball with Greg for a little while since it was so nice outside!  I am so excited for my birthday and then the pool opens Saturday and Monday is Lobster Fest!!! So I'd say I'm up for a pretty solid Birthday Week!!!
Also Congratulations to all my friends who graduated!!! I'm next (Hopefully)!  Still waiting for my grades from the semester!

BYE JUNIOR YEAR!!!!

JUNIOR YEAR IS OFFICIALLY OVER!!!!
Today I ended the semester with Biology and Intro to Macroeconomics!!  Now to just wait for the graded bum bum bummmmm!!!! It was also such a nice day I had Mom's car so I got in it, rolled the windows down and Cruised!!! Then Dad made chicken caesar wrap for me for dinner and it is like 100000000000x better than the wraps I get made for me at school.  But to top all of that is my Queen Sized Bed!!!!  No alarm to be set and no studying to be done!!

GOODBYE JUNIOR YEAR AND HELLO

Today I had my first final: sociology!  For a 10 page study guide, it was a painful 5 question essay final!  But now its done and I finished packing up the rest of my room because I'm going home tomorrow after my final.  Then Drive up for my 2 finals (bio and macroeconomics) on Monday!  Then it's goodbye Ramapo and HELLO SUMMER!!!

ALMOST DONE!!!

So Birthday Month is in full swing and Finals week is coming.  May the Curve be with me!!  Yesterday was my sororities Founders Day and Momma came!  Then she took me to get Panera so I didn't have to eat in the dining hall for dinner!! Since it is the last weekend of fun I was out with my sisters Thursday and Friday!  So last night I was asleep by 10.  Today is senior send off when the seniors become Alumnae of Theta Phi Alpha.  I don't want some of these girls to leave me!  Finals start for me on Thursday, one Friday, 2 on Monday and then SUMMER SUMMER SUMMER!
Cross your fingers I pass all my finals!!!
Then 11 days after I'm done with finals is BIRTHDAY!

HAPPY EASTER (only a day late)
This weekend I came home onThursday night so I could get one extra night in my bed before the family all arrived. Friday I had a wonderful dinner at the club with my family and Grandma.  It was great to be home, and sleep in my own bed.  But on the downside Phillip is back or as Mom's been saying Phillippa.  It's a really stupid bird that keeps bashing and pecking at our windows.  Last year it was the windows by the deck and this year its the window in the formal dining room.  Mom told all of us kids she'd give us monday if we caught it!  But the best part of the weekend was my boyfriend Steve came for dinner Saturday night with the whole family; played basketball with the boys and it went even better than I anticipated!  They kept asking if Steve was coming back.  Sunday we found our Easter Baskets (Thanks Momma Bunny) and stayed outside.  We laid out on the deck, played games, and then before we knew it it was Easter dinner!  Our family friends Helene and Rachel came, it has been years but it was great to see them!! Then after dinner we all went bowling.  GREG I TOLD YOU I COULD BOWL!! Then we went back and some people watched Frozen; I could recite it by heart so I went to bed because I figured Phillippa would wake us up in the morning and I was right!
Now I'm back at school really waiting for summer!

Um Mother Nature

Dear Mother Nature,
This past weekend it was gorgeous I was in shorts, a tank top and my toms.  However last night you made a silly mistake and had it SNOW!  I think everyone's confused because it's supposed to be spring.  The bears are even out on campus and very confused.

OH AND WE WON GREEK WEEK!!!


In other news; I NEED summer!!! The to-do list sitting beside me of things I have to do between now and May 13th aka my first day of summer is slightly ridiculous.  I feel like I haven't slept in days!  But I was able to accomplish a color run this past weekend!  Thankfully this weekend is Easter and I can go home and see my family.  The cousins well some of them are coming and I couldn't be more excited!

THETA-RADE 

Greek Week

Greek Week is here!!! Time to sip some THETArade!!! We're in 1st place! and I wouldn't want to spend my weekend any other way!  It was so cold on Saturday but Sunday was AMAZING!  I didn't play any sports because my head hurt but it's so much fun!!! And Friday Was Relay!  I was so happy and can't believe how much $ I raised!  Thank you to all who donated!  School is also over in a MONTH AND 5 DAYS!  then SUMMER!!!! And Working at the YMCA as Head Counselor for the half day girls!  GET ME TO SUMMER!

Today I don't feel like doing anything

This week actually since I've been back from break has been phenomenal!  School's cool I guess, BAHAMAS was incredible! and I HAVE A BOYFRIEND!  That's right world, it finally happened and I have never been so happy in my life (aside from the day I heard I was cancer free).  He treats me like a princess, and surprises me and does things without being told!  And this Friday is Relay for Life and I've raised over 600$ for the cause!  There's still time for donations!  But regardless I'm so happy!  Thank you to everyone who has been reading and checking up on me along the way!  Here are some pictures from break and after!
